An Unexpected Reunion

Summary

That day is Reddington Elementary's sports day, one of Sakura's most favorite days. Tori and Julian are there to cheer her up, and Julian shoots a lot of pictures of Sakura in performance. Her cheerleading demonstration goes really great except when she dropped her baton on the head. Sakura and Li are neck and neck in the obstacle race, but by some good luck to her, Li trips himself just before the goal, then Sakura won the championship.

Fujitaka manages to show up in the lunch time, so Sakura is very happy. After they've enjoyed the jellies Aiden brought, Aiden and the two teenagers walks off to take the trash out. At this time, Samantha Taylor, Madison's mom, shows up. To the surprise, Samantha turns out to be Aiden's archrival since they were kids. She doesn't still like that he married her best friend Natasha, and won the championship in the nationals defeating her. So two of them decided to race in the 400 meters dash for parents.

On the bang of start, Samantha speeds up ahead of the others, but Aiden passes her in a few seconds. But at this time, a strange thing began to happen. Uncountable flower petals fall and cover the playground, piling up in an amazing rate. Samantha and Aiden in the race are making their ways ahead pushing the petals aside. Actually, that is the work of the Flower Card, a party lover. Li, who also senses the Card, gets his way blocked by Zachary, so he can't be out to capture. Sakura finds the Flower Card dance on the roof, and then successfully seals the Card, when Aiden crosses the goal defeating Samantha.

This unexpected reunion makes Sakura think of some destiny. Sakura's mom and Madison's were closest friend 20 years before, that kind of means Sakura and Madison are destined to get along great. Both Sakura and Madison hope there may be the day when Aiden and Samantha will put their past aside to become good friends with each other.

Changes from CCS

For your information, this episode shows the enormous difference in relations than in CCS. Aiden was not Natasha's teacher, but surprisingly maybe he could be her classmate or something.

Aiden was a friend of Natasha's and Samantha's. Natasha was Samantha's best friend whom she cherish like a sister.	Fujitaka was once Nadeshiko and Sonomi's teacher. Madeshiko was Sonimi's cousin.
Aiden married Natasha, and defeated Samantha winning the championship in the nationals. That's why Samantha doesn't like Aiden.	Fujitaka married Nadeshiko when she was 16, even though he was her teacher. Sonomi felt as if he stole Nadeshiko of her, and doesn't still like him.
Sakura already knew how to sense a Clow Card.	Sakura wasn't supposed to be able to sense a Clow Card.

Bloopers

• Sakura and Li are almost as good athletes as each other, but why did Li trip himself just before the goal?
• Li was eating lunch with Sakura and the others. But he had disappered before Aiden brought them jellies. When and how did he disappear?
• In the nationals, men's race and women's are supposed to be separated. It was practically impossible that Aiden directly beat out Samantha.
• This is not a blooper, but it's true that Samantha means so much for Natasha. But I kind of guess that Samantha used to somehow love Aiden because she competed against him every chance she got and because she got mad when Aiden married Natasha.
