Sakura's Rival

Summary

Sakura sees a strange dream, in which there are a raido tower and the Clow Cards floating in the air. A boy in a green robe stands on top of a building. She groans in the dream, so Kero wakes her up. Kero tells Sakura to forget it, but to concentrate on her duty as the cardcaptor.

She has a surprising event at school. Her class has a transfer student, who looks exactly like the boy she saw in the dream. His name is Li Showron, and he knows Sakura has some Clow Cards. He summons her to the schoolyard, and tries to take her Cards, then Tori rushes to the scene to protect his sister. When the two guys are almost fighting, Julian shows up, then Li runs away.

Thick layers of clouds cover the sky when Sakura and Madison are walking home, so they rush into under the Penguin Slide in the park to shelter from the rain. However, it does not rain, they only hear the thunder. Mysteriously, thunderbolt keeps striking mischievously to chase an electrician. Soon the sky gets clear.

According to Kero's comment, Li Showron is a direct descendant of Clow Reed, who created the Clow Cards. At this time, Madison phones Sakura and says that the sky is covered by the mysterious clouds.

Sakura and Madison meet outside; it is the work of the Thunder Card, remarks Kero. Sakura flies up high to capture the Card. When she has still no clue, Li shows up and visualize the Thunder with his magic. Sakura uses the Shodow Card just the way he told her, and successfully seals the Thunder Card. Li turns on Sakura when he says that she does not deserve to be a Cardcaptor.

Kero talks like a drunk man. ^_^	Kero's voice is cute in Osaka accent done by Aya Hisakawa.
Kero didn't call Sakura's dream as “prophetic dream” or anything like that.	Kero pointed out Sakura's dream to be a prophetic dream, so he mentioned that Sakura might see the boy in her dream. The boy is Syaoran, so to speak.
In introducing Li, Mr. Terada seemed writing something on the blackboard, but nothing was seen on the board. Furthermore, he didn't mention where Li Showron came from.	Mr. Terada said Syaoran came from Hong Kong.
When Li transformed the Thunder into its visible form, Sakura says “Back off,” to Li.	Sakura is so modest that she never spoke back at him when Syaoran said that she knew nothing about the Cards.
Sakura wasn't so depressed, but got turned on by Li, as she memtioned, “Yeah, this is only the beginning.”	Sakura was completely depressed by Syaoran's severe comment on her capture.

Bloopers

• Even though Mr. Terada looked writing something on the blackboard when introducing Li, nothing was written on it.
• About Kero's line “Expect the unexpected, Sakura.” What does it mean?
• What kind of ten-year-old kid cares about chrominance reduction of video camera?
• This may be CLAMP's blooper—that “thunder” means just the noise that a lightning makes, so the card should be the Lightning Card. ^_^;
