Double Edged Sword

Summary

Sakura seems to be depressed because of Li's arrogant comment from the day before. Besides, Rita is deeply worried about her next spelling test. So, Sakura and Madison help her study. First, they stop at an accessory shop in their way home, and buy a brooch they like: Sakura a heart brooch, Madison a cross brooch, and Rika a sword brooch.

Later, Sakura let Madison and Rita in her house, sharing with them the pudding her father made. And they start the spelling quiz, and they try to recall the spell of “brooch” by putting theirs on, then immediately, Rita got hypnotized. Her brooch turns into a sword, with which Rita tries to slash Sakura. The brooch is the Sword Card's temporary form, and Rita is taken over by the Card. Sensing the Clow Card, Kero flies downstairs. Even though Rita knows nothing about fencing, she is an expert fencer as long as the Sword Card takes her over.

Sakura bearly gets out of her house, but she can not fight back against Rita because she is Sakura's friend. All Sakura does is escape from Rita's attacks. When she is almost slashed, Li blocks her from the attack. Nevertheless, she prevents him from fighting against Rita. However, Sakura uses the Illusion Card to distract Rita, and takes the sword off her hand, so she finally seals the Card. Immediately after everything is done, Julian comes to visit Tori, when Syaoran blushes and runs away.

Next morning, Sakura gives Rita her brooch to compensate for her sword brooch. A little puzzled though she is, Rita accept her sincerity without asking any question.

After school, Sakura gives Julian a chocoate in return for his help from the day before. Syaoran gets upset and runs away.

Poor Rita gets timid of spelling test because of Mr. Terada's thoughtless warning.	Rika was watching Mr. Terada during the homeroom class with a romantic feeling.
Li Showron is the seed for their jokes, when Maidson said, “I think I rather ride a hundred miles in a car with Li Showron than attempt a 360. Maybe we should just study.”	Tomoyo didn't say anything like Madison Taylor did, but she said she wanted to be always with Sakura because she likes her.
Mr. Terada is what Rita fears the most.	Mr. Terada is what Rika thinks the strongest in her mind.
All the moments implying Li's yaoi crush are cut.	When Yukito takes Syaoran's hand to get him up on his feet, Syaoran blushed and ran away.

Bloopers

• The Thunder Card capture took place in the day before? Come on, I know there are two episodes in between! (Oops, not for Australian version)
• Li mentioned that his green robe was Li family's ceremonial robe. What? I thought his family name was Showron!
• Mr. Tearada completely scared Rita about her spelling test, and the person she fears the most is him. Oh, no, he is so traumatic a teacher that Reedington Elementary has got to fire him!
• I don't think the spell of “brooch” is so difficult. And does it make sense to put on your brooch for an inspiration about the spelling? If it does, you can say to your boyfriend that you don't remember how you spell “diamond,” then he may buy you a diamond ring for an inspiration.
